Fitzpatrick’s Deli

Siobhán Fitzpatrick

Name: Siobhán Fitzpatrick
Age and Birthday: 21. November 10th, 1986

Being the youngest child in the Fitzpatrick family had its definite pros and cons. It could also seem easy to get lost in such a large crowd, but Siobhan, more commonly known as Von to those who know her well (or Vonny if you’re family), managed to hang on to her place at the end of the line somehow. There was always being everyone’s baby and thus, never really having to worry about finding praise or affection…unless a girl wanted affection from a father who she hardly ever saw or a mother who didn’t have her penciled into her schedule that afternoon. In all reality most of the actually raising of Siobhan was attributed to her older siblings and for that she would also look up to them. Like most younger siblings, Von looked up the line of her siblings with respect and adoration, considering them her best advice givers, friend’s and usually her favorite people. When it came down to it, Siobhan definitely understood that family was meant to be the most important thing.

As a child Von had the gift to appear quiet, but those who had to put up with her could tell you a completely different story. Whether happy or sad, Von was usually very vocal about how she was feeling, usually explaining she had no other way to let it all out. As she got older, and louder, efforts were made to direct that energy into other activities and after many, many different lessons, clubs, and various other hobbies, Von finally discovered a love of painting. Usually colors and usually abstract figures, Von found a way to express herself and create an outlet for all the emotions a young girl can deal with. But of course, being a starving artist isn’t acceptable when you come from a family like the Fitzpatrick’s so when she graduated high school Von was encouraged to follow in her older siblings’ footsteps and started attending NYU. In four years she’s had at least one new major a year and is still unsure what she wants to do. The resent death of her father and abandonment of her mother has left Von feeling jolted and confused. Being everybody’s baby all her life had given her a safety net and in her eyes an excuse not to grow up yet. Now she’s starting to see things differently.
