Fitzpatrick’s Deli

Caley Brenna Fitzpatrick

Name: Caley Brenna Fitzpatrick
Age & Birthdate: 21; February 14, 1987

If birth order indeed had an effect on a child’s personality and inherent traits, then Caley Brenna Fitzpatrick had certainly been born to shine. As the youngest of four children, the brown-eyed beauty vied for the attention of not only her parents, but her older siblings as well. Perhaps it had been the underlying fear that she would somehow be lost in the mix that forced her to strive for the extra attention, the need to differentiate herself from the siblings that had come before her. But whatever her motivation, her status as the baby of the family won her the added attention and affection that she craved.

The youngest child of the Fitzpatrick-Byrne branch of the family made her dramatic debut into the world eight weeks prior to her due date, the first indication of her impatience. Fortunately, luck had been on her side, her premature birth leading to no lasting effects. In fact, the infant seemed to revel in the attention that her early arrival brought. She only seemed to be content amidst the chaos, particularly if the chaos revolved around her. The baby of the family cooed happily when surrounded by her parents and siblings, smiling and clapping her hands proudly as they endlessly doted on her. The moment no faces could be seen peeking over the edge of the bassinette was the precise moment her fussing would begin, ceasing only when someone caved in and cradled the newborn.

As the years progressed, the constant need for attention somehow transformed into the desperate need to distinguish herself from her older siblings. Colin had always been the troublemaker of the family, which had always been the deterrent from an obnoxious rebellious phase to separate Caley from the rest of the clan. Her oldest brother had monopolized that title since his birth, and knocking him from his pedestal (if one could consider it one) would take far more mischief than the brunette was capable of. Instead, she mainly walked along the path of obedience. There had been a few troublesome instances when she had strayed, but nothing noteworthy of labeling her as a problem child.

Enrolled in the same Catholic school her older siblings attended, Caley quickly established herself as a favorite among the students and the faculty alike. Her stunning beauty combined with her sparkling personality won the hearts of her peers, boosting her popularity through the roof. She thrust herself into the mix, making a name for herself by participating in as many extracurricular activities as she could possibly join. Voted captain of the cheerleadering squad her junior and senior years, she had also won the election for Student Body President by a landslide. While not an overachiever in the academic sense, Caley graduated from high school with an impressive résumé that secured her admissions to New York University.

However, her greatest triumph occurred when she was merely sixteen years old. Always pleased to be the center of attention, Caley often volunteered to be the subject for her cousin Finn’s photography. Partnered with her astounding beauty and his profound talent, her photographs in his portfolio had garnered the interest of the agency he had been courting. A representative of the agency contacted her with such a lucrative offer that she could not refuse. Juggling her overflowing schedule, Caley somehow managed to shuttle back and forth to various photo shoots for print ads and walk the runaway at several fashion shows.

Over the course of the next five years, her reputation as a model grew to astronomically proportions. By the end of her sophomore year of college, she came face to face with the decision to pursue her modeling career or continue with her college education. Caley Fitzpatrick had become a household name in the modeling industry, and further success waited just beyond the horizon. After numerous internal debates, she finally approached her cousin Finn in desperate search for his advice. He advised her to pursue her career, rationalizing that she could always return to college at a later time. Swallowing her doubts and hesitations, Caley confronted her parents with her decision and moved from her parents’ home in Queens to a posh apartment in SoHo with several model friends.

Now fully devoting herself, her career skyrocketed to monumental heights. The number of print campaigns she appeared in doubled, as well as the bookings for high profile fashion shows. For the first time in 2008, she made appearances at the prestigious Fashion Weeks, strutting down the runaway in Paris, Milan, New York, and London. Yet despite still being the center of attention, Caley still remained fairly grounded by the family that she loved so much. While success was sweet, it would not always be there at her fingertips.

… but she would always be a Fitzpatrick.
